Description

One of only two full pages drawn and inked by Dick Giordano for Wanted. Giordano created the flashback scenes in the last issue of Wanted, giving them a slightly more "classic" style. In them, The Killer tells his son the story of how supervillains (including himself) took over the world. This is the final page of that flashback sequence.

In the first panel we see piles of dead superheroes, followed by a young Killer silently watching over his family. Finally, we see the world transitioning from a "Golden Era" to a gritty new reality where the memory of superheroes and villains has been wiped from the minds of everyone except the villains themselves. I love how Giordano chose not to ink the bottom of the third panel to represent that transition.

If anyone ever sees this and knows where page 9 (or any of the other flashback panels) can be found, please let me know!

That's really cool and unexpected. Giordano later in his career would be able to still fire up th creativity! The colorist also honored the pencils only by leaving it raw.
