Description

This is the first comic I can remember reading as a kid and a page (any page) from it has been at the top of my grail list since I started collecting. I was ecstatic to check it off the list only recently with the purchase of this page: https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=2055784. <--(More details in the description of that page.) But, finding that page also spurred me to contact Curt Shoultz and see if he still owned any pages he'd being willing to part with. This is one of three pages Curt was kind enough to sell me.

Interesting note: Curt mentioned that this was only the second book he inked in his career. It was Brock Hor's first project. Fantastic early work from both of them in my opinion.

On this page we see the team arriving at what is supposed to be the headquarters of the resistance in Metropolis. At first it seems like no one is home.

Love the center splash with the interior of the warehouse and a good shot of the tankified Batmobile.

It's a shame Hor and Shoultz didn't continue in the field. This is pretty exceptional work for two people brand new to comics. It's a great story the way you tracked them down and became their biggest collector!
