DescriptionI was at New York Comicon and this gem showed up at the table of a major dealer. I decided I wanted it for my collection. I love the elegant line work and atmosphere, and I admire how really ahead of its time this strip and McCay's work was. It's psychedelic way before the 60s!!! I also love winter and Christmas and snow... plus this was from the first year of the strip... well, It took me three days to take this down, it was like a prize fight, I went in, made an offer, went back and forth, then retreated. Then I'd go back for more, then retreat. It took three days but by the late afternoon on the third day we were done. I'm very happy to have this surreal masterpiece! It's in unusually nice condition and has a still near white board.Social/Sharing |

A visual delight! Pure wonder and imagination from just a few years into the strip for McKay to bring us into Slumberland. A great visual effect in this wall of flying snowballs! Just a short trip and we awaken hoping to see more the next week.

Very cool Little Nemo. I imagine it is so much better in person.

I read a book of these in college in an over-sized volume (thinking they were actual size), well, it wasn't even half as big as the art you're holding!

Mazel Tov, fellow Rob! That's a stunner of a piece. There is no scan or pic that can do a McCay original like this justice. They are truly incredible in person. Big congrats, my friend.

Score! Oh, I am so jealous. Fabulous Sunday from the finest comic strip artist to have ever lived. When you are tired of looking at it, give me a call.
