Description

Nathan brings a guest to Xenia’s hospital room:

“Nathan! Yowzers! You finally came to see me. Sigmund and Betty also stopped by this morning. That Pollock wanted to deliver these articles in person. They list the scientific and medical results obtained thanks to the Habitat. I should be furious for what they did to us. Instead, knowing that something good was obtained thanks to us... makes me feel better. I missed you, you know?”

“You too...”

“Where did you go?”

“I had to find someone.”

“Hello, Xenia.”

Xenia is wasting away prematurely, so she's portrayed like a cancer patient, lacking even eyebrows. She still sees the glass as half full, even as she approaches the end. Nathan has his usual Deckard-style trench coat and skinny tie back.

I would have to say that Busticchi and Paesani does pull off a tear jerker with these scenes lingering on for so many pages,

Checking in on this story each day might be adding to my depression, the sadness!! That sure looks like a Xenia to me as the visitor, but no confirmation yet...damn.
