DescriptionI have always had a fond love of the swimsuit pinups from Wildstorm, and this one by Travis was one of the most memorable ones from the first issue of Wildstorm Swimsuit. Travis joined the studio in 1993 and this piece from 1994 is one of the rare pieces that are pencils and inks by Travis. I am not as hardcore as I used to be in collecting the swimsuit pinups these days but this was one I had to have.In 2018, Travis sold a stack of art to a collector that lived nearby (Lance S) and this was one of the pieces in that pile. I bought a few pieces from Lance, but when this was first offered to myself and my buddy Ben a while later, I just couldn't swing it at the time. So Ben got it and we agreed that it would come to me at some point, just as my Travis Charest Pepsiman piece would eventually go to him. So we finally made it happen and traded pieces. I had to add a pile of cash as well, which is why I had to sell some other art to pay for it but I regret nothing lol. So thanks for holding it for me Ben, and for finally letting it go! Compare this to his work just a year before and you can see the profound leap in Charest's evolution as an artist.

I saw this pop up in your CAF and wondered what the story was, as I was just talking to Ben about this piece and Travis' work in general. Congrats on being the current caretaker of one of my favorite 90's pinups. Always love looking at this piece!
