well, this is pretty special - one of three ads created to promote the then upcoming sam and max #1 fishwrap comic! two were run in the fishpolice comic and i believe this one may be a promotional poster (if anyone can confirm this, or has a copy please let me know!)

signed 1987 this massive piece (12x18) is amazing. now, there were sam and max strips that ran in steve's art school newspaper prior to this... but should be considered one of the first three published professional s&m pieces.
