Description9-2024...Surprised with myself at buying two unpublished or "lost" story pieces of art in close vicinity to each other, but Francis Manapul's work is simply amazing to me! Plus, his work on the Flash really brought me into collecting comics.Here we see Flash dismantling Trickster's getaway car at superspeed before it can collide with a construction worker and his son. I personally prefer this unpublished version over the published one because you get more out of the city background, Flash's pose is much more dynamic (plus you see the "shadow" Flashes working at superspeed!), Trickster and his henchmen are tied up, and so much more! Manapul's shading really helps pop the drawing as always! Social/Sharing |

The published piece is a more direct shot that could be shown out of context looking out at us while this piece is more story based. Manapul has a ton of talent in presenting how kinetic the flash is behind the main focused image.
