DescriptionFrom 'The Cosmic Cannonball Caper' issue. We all have artists we like on a particular character, and Bob is probably my favorite on Cannonball. So having one of the few title splashes dedicated to him is a treat. Thanks to everyone who liked and commented over the last 40 days and pages, and now the full book is up to read like an Artist's Edition. And thanks to Bob for taking such great care of this book and for letting me be it's new custodian for the future. Social/Sharing |

Chin up Sam. I know times are tough now but soon it will be all sex, drugs and rock & roll.

Aaand this concludes New Mutober !! Cool splash with Cannonball. I wonder if there was ever any thought to having a sound effect when he takes off. Like Nightcrawler has > BAMF < . Cannonball should've had a > BOOM < or something like that.

Good thing I wasn't holding my breath while waiting for you to finish posting this incredible acquisition. Wow! Not just a complete story, but a complete ANNUAL. And by the co-creator of the characters no less. Must be so much fun to flip through this in its entirety. Congratulations and thanks so much for sharing.

This is great design from top to bottom! The title lettering is is so much of the time period! McLeod was brimming with all the skill and enthusiasm! You can tell he probably came up with the opening sequence with how much he put into the art!

Magnificent way to start the story, but also to end your show & tell! Thanks for taking us all on this memorable journey, André! A veritable blast from the past and even better revisiting it via high quality scans of the original art!

Just a superb splash and also a clear example (and I was waiting for that last page to state this) that the ever dreaded deadline played a part on the art of this story as I find the first pages are much more worked on that the last.
So great that you own it all and that this did not end in the ends of a dealer :)

I remember the first time I opened the cover and saw this page. Sienkiewicz had begun his justly celebrated run on the main title, which I liked from the start. But it was a big change from the Marvel house style which preceded him. So when I saw this book (and particularly this page), I felt an immediate sense of "coming home again" to see such a well-rendered version of the classic style.

Wow, very cool! Now that's a title page. I'm a bit late to the party and missed your daily posts unfortunately. At least now I can start from the beginning and reread it in its original format. Congratulations on owning the entire book. Thanks for sharing.
