Description

In the story arc Twilight Jedi Master Quinlan Vos awakens in a burning building on the smuggler moon of Nar Shadda with no memory of how he got there. The only thing he remembered was that he and his padawan Aayla Secura were investigating a glitteryll smuggling ring on Tatooine and Nar Shadda before eventually being captured. He teams up with the unsavory Devaronian smuggler named Vilmarh Grahrk to uncover the truth.

They go to the planet Ryloth seeking answers and to try and find Quinlan’s lost padawan Aayla. Once landing at the space port in one of Ryloth’s underground cities Quinlan is reunited with one of his clansmen who is his cousin Asant’e Vos. Here they are in an apartment assigned to them by Pol Secura who is Clan Leader and also Aayla’s Uncle. Quinlan and Asant’e are having a conversation about his loss of memory when they receive a transmission from Vilmarh Grahrk who claims to have information and requests a private meeting at the Rock Garden outside of the city.

Asant’e warns Quinlan not to trust the Devaronian criminal and he replies that he doesn’t but that he has been of service to him and could possibly be again and asks her to wait in the apartment until he returns.

Part of Star Wars legends now, but there is so much culture and characters created in these Dark Horse stories that is prime to be used.  Duursema's creativity and vision guided Star Wars into unexplored themes and places in these stories.    Jedi Quinlan Vos and this storyline is one of her most popular works.

I have so many fond memories of Dark Horse Star Wars and it always brings me joy whenever I'm able to aquire an original page from one of the stories published in this era of Star Wars. John Ostrander's writing and Jan Duursema's art made the perfect combination for telling gripping sci fi stories.

Agreed on all accounts with both you and Marcus. With the mention of Master Vos again in the Disney+ Obi-Wan series I am still holding out hope that one of these story arcs is resurrected for a Star Wars animated or live action series.
