Description

This piece came into being in a rather interesting way. I don't typically do commissions. I had wanted a published piece by Dani, and really wanted something around Wonder Woman. There was a published cover on CAF, Sensational Wonder Woman #4, and I reached an agreement to buy it from the owner. FedEx lost the art. We tried everything we could to recover the art, but FedEx ended up paying the claim. It's very sad that the art is now lost. That said, around the same time this happened Dani opened up her commission list and I was super lucky to have been blessed with this gem of a piece. You never know with commissions, but this one really helped take the sting out of the loss of the Sensational WW #4 cover. In some ways, I actually like the art of this commission over the published cover. This is on A3, roughly 11" x 17".

Beautiful! This piece has so much "published cover energy" to it. There’s something about the way Dani draws hair that makes her pieces feel so alive.

Dani has such a wonderful sense of what she wants to do with the character. It has the influence of the great 20th century illustrators of Europe while making it completely her own.

I've owned Dani WW pages before. This might be Dani's greatest WW image to-date.
