Description

Ink, acrylic ink and marker on 11" x 16" Arches hot press watercolor paper. The last issue of the Captain Marvel, Jr. series from Fawcett Comics was #119. This image picks up with an imaginary 120th issue.

Saw this from one of Gene's posts and have been eying it for a bit. There's nothing like a Holiday sale to spur a purchase though. :)

Great flying image in the spotlight circle. It looks like he's breaking free of that and the comic surface itself. Colors taken right from the golden age comic covers to go full retro..
