Description

I grew up reading a ton of Chuck Dixon, Scott McDaniel, and Karl Story's Nightwing run. And ever since I was younger, I yearned to own some sort of art from McDaniel.

His style is so dynamic and fluid, he draws acrobatic characters with such high energy.

For my birthday, this year, I really wanted to make sure I got a piece from him.

During his work on Green Goblin for Marvel, he showed his take on Ben Reilly's Scarlet Spider costume in the third issue. Unfortunately, he left the book before ever being able to show version of Ben's Spider-Man suit.

Ben being my favorite character of all time, I needed to see what McDaniel's Spidey would look like.

So, here it is. A crossover between my two favorite characters from the big two publishers, done by one extremely talented artist.

Both Nightwing and Ben Reilly's Spider-Man solo titles were big in the 90's so there's lots of fans who remember how Scott McDaniel did street level heroes cool back then. The circle motif is a favorite of his to use in his comics and here now in this commission.
