DescriptionWasn't expecting the bidding on this to get heated, but persevered nonetheless. Why fight so hard for this particular piece? It's a great title page with a central image of ROTJ Luke in fighting stance, with a solid depiction by Frenz. But that's only half the appeal... My daughter has been coming with me to NYCC since she was a little kid. With a steady diet of comics and pop culture (particularly Star Wars), she's gained a great appreciation for comics and the artists that make our favorite medium an art form. Off to college next year with eventual plans to join the State Department in the foreign service as a diplomat, this title page hits it out of the park on every level. Framed on her wall, Luke will likely be her companion wherever the world takes her! Diplomacy! Social/Sharing |

I envision her, one day, telling the tale of her dad who bought this for her and how it's been with her as she travels the world.
Great art, great dad. Great daughter, like her father before her

Haha. If only I bought it privately, I could have legit used the "It's not for me, it's for my daughter!" plea! For the first time in the history of OA purchases, it would have been true! A missed opportunity indeed...

This one's not a sideshow, Bob, but a main event! Congrats to you and your daughter on the win.

This is awesome. A FALCON as Dino would say. And for your daughter!! Fischel and Ebert give it two enthusiastic thumbs up.

Congrats, man, to you and your daughter! What a way to open up a book, and gotta love that the title story is "Diplomacy" when Luke is looking...a little less so :) I'm also a Frenz freak. Love it, man!
