This was the unpublished DPS by Greg Capullo that I asked Mark Morales to work his magical inks on. Love this early 90s era. Inks over blue lines.

I'm glad to see Morales inked it HIS way, rather than emulating the 90's Image style so infused into the pencils!

I was contemplating for a bit which inker to request over Capullo's 90s style. Morales didn't disappoint

Attack mode! Capullo's earlier work on X-Force brought lots of excitement, but these crossover events showed he was ready for the main X-Men title too!

Agreed! Capullo, Kubert, Jae, Peterson really kept the X flagship afloat in the early 90s

Great large DPS or unpbulished illustration by Capullo and Mark did a great job inking it!

It's a nitpick but man Greg does his signature huge and right in the middle of the art area in those original pencils though ha. I only have one Capullo piece and I made him sign it on the back (it was unsigned when I got it from him) because of how huge is signatue is and it would have disrupted the art image area ha. Anyway nice piece man!

Agreed Kavi, wouldn't have been my preference for the sig. Mark was kind enough to omit it on the inks at least.

Mark Morales definitely worked his magic on this one. It really is spectacular and SHOULD be published. Congrats on a terrific add!!

How was this not used??!! What a jaw-dropping DPS with most of my favorite X-Men on the attack! Love the drawing of Wolverine here--I always love it when Logan is shown in full berzerker rage!Love the drawings of Rogue and Gambit, Storm and Havoc as well! Capullo really put his whole heart into this splash! And Mark Morales' inks are superb (As always). Just a fantastic DPS from a great storyline. Too bad it wasn't used, but it's still amazing to look at! Thanks for sharing!
