Description

Originally intended for publication in Sensation Comics #88, the Little, Boy Blue feature was cancelled months before, with this page finally written off on 9-30-1949. This piece was subsequently ordered to be destroyed, which was done with neat slices in the gutters and then reattached, saving the artwork from being lost. The artist was somewhat of a mainstay for DC in the 1940's, drawing about 200 stories and a dozen covers, mostly for All-Star Comics and Comic Cavalcade.

The story to save the art is a lot cooler than the story on the page. Little Boy Blue survives and outlives the publishers.
