DescriptionWilliams "Die Spinne" #99 issue, signed for me personally by Marlies Gerson and a small Spidey head that she drew. Marlies Gerson was primarily responsible for the hand lettering of Williams Marvel publications from around 1973 onwards. Nowadays, this kind of thing is done on the computer, but in the "good old days" it was an art form in its own right. Marlies is also a good illustrator and was always there when a German cover had to be adapted or redrawn. I specifically chose the Spider-Man issue at the time, firstly because it contains Marlies' work, and secondly because the very first cover of the Williams "Die Spinne" issues used the cover of "Amazing Spider-Man #98".Marlies did this Head on my Comic in 2019 in Cologne. Yes! I think we are the only two on CAF who own an original Artwork of this German legend :)
