Description

The Super-Dimensional Fortress 7 arrives in orbit over Haydon IV and runs smack into the Invid fleet. Fearing an ambush, Colonel Wolff prepares to go to red alert. But Haydon’s technological defenses are second to none, and any aggression in its atmosphere will result in the SDF7’s obliteration! Robotech II: The Sentinels Book III # 22, page 2 (1995).

This page is part of a two-page spread, but unfortunately I didn’t win the other page. While the bulk of the enemy vessels are on that second page, you can see some of the Invid ships in the background here. There’s also a Robotech Masters vessel and a ship of the Perytonians (the people who look like devils). I’ve included a picture of the published spread because I think that whole picture is cool. The seller thought both pages stood on their own and sold them separately.

About the ships that don’t belong to the two main adversaries, Jason said: “The Robotech Master ship was taken from a Southern Cross reference. The Perytonian ship was an original creation I designed that has now been included in Robotech role-playing games. An airbrush was used to paint the space background and planet atmosphere."

It looks like art that could be used in Robotech RPG books having the great designs with the airbrush layer!

Must look that much better in person! Really gives you that sense of truly seeing outer space! Mayhaps the other side of the DPS at at one point? In any case, this stands alone just fine! Congrats!
