Description

Another great pickup at OAX 2025-- this time its the work of one of my favorite artists-- Michael Avon Oeming-- I have zero idea who X-23 is-- but I know she's a female Wolverine-- I just loved the layout and compositon of this piece and knew it had to join my collection.

I've been a big fan of Michael's work for many years and have struggled to find the right piece that fits what I like about his work so much-- this is it. In my opinion working in simple lines, as for example Toth or Bruce Timm does, it's extremely hard because you can't hide any mistakes.

a piece that is distinctly and unmistakably MAO's style through and through! X-23 aka Laura Kinney is Logan/Wolverine's biological daughter (with Mystique as the mother). There was some DNA/lab tomfoolery going on with that Marvel storyline but technically she is a legit daughter and not a clone. Anyways lol - great to see you guys at OAX

Watch the movie Logan by James Mangold. This gives off a samurai comics look with Wolverine as the old master and his student being the more feral and uncontrolled.
