DescriptionThe year is 1989. Zeck is still at the height of his popularity with the release of Kraven's Last Hunt and Punisher : Circle of Blood one year earlier. He is asked to do the promo piece for the first European comic con in Grenoble, France, and Marvel requests that he draws Spider-Man in the style of a certain Todd McFarlane, who has just taken over the Amazing title with the result we all know. Phil Zimelman, Mike's frequent collaborator for coloring pieces is not available, and Zeck decides that he will just do it himself. Of course, it does not hurt that artwork is huge, about 24*18. When looking at the final artwork, you wonder why Mike has not handled the coloring of all his art, as the result feels like silk-screen printing. The piece, which was removed from a harder art board, will come with the published color print of the comic con poster signed by Zeck.
