DescriptionOAX was bigger and better this year while still maintaining the personal feel when it comes to interactions with all of the artists. The new exhibits were awesome and I can now say I have seen Frazetta originals with my own eyes. I not only met some new friends that I had interacted with here on CAF, but also had some long overdue hang out time with a few that really made for a special weekend. I'm pretty sure I had more zingers than I had sleep, but it was worth every minute of it! If only I could figure out how to preserve this beautiful baritone voice throughout the weekend. Big thanks goes out to everyone at CAF! It was a wonderful and memorable weekend and I am already looking forward to the next.First OAX piece is this stunning take on The Maxx from Joe Weems. Not only did I get to meet and talk to Joe at the dinner on Friday, but I picked up this beauty on Saturday. Tons of detail to love here from the crosshatching to those signature Maxx curlicues! He used a number of different techniques and it just comes together so well. You can tell he really put some time into this piece and the end result shows! Weems did justice to Kieth's signature character. Great meeting you at OAX. My voice was gone too by the end of the show! See you next year.

It's got that 90's in your face framing that requires high detail to pull off the attitude!

great piece dude!!! It's The Maxx representing the entire state of Florida as they ran out of both celery and bread crumbs after OAX weekend, the great Zinger stinger of 25' ;-p

Great looking Maxx. This dude embodies the spirit with which we approached each night of OAX. No sleep needed when you're in the Outback land of Miller's Ale House or the courtyard of the Doubletree.

Love the composition and those fingers. I cant lie, I had a beautiful time with Hot Garlic as well. Maybe going to partake more with them next year.

Really nice lines here (what else would we expect from Joe?!) and love that hatchy background up top a la Art Adams. The Maxx at max badassery! A true zinger :) Congrats!
