Gorgeous Carol Day strip. (As if there were any Carol Day strips that aren't gorgeous). David Wright was so talented that every panel he draws demonstrates his mastery of the medium. We have three simple panels here, each composed and inked completely differently from one another. From the first panel, a two-shot with Carol and a man talking, to the second panel with the tight close-up of Carol's face, to the third panel, a different location with a silhouetted man in a doorway speaking to his son. Three different layouts with different inking techniques. This one comic strip is practically a master class in layout and inking. Stunning stuff. Great pick-up, congrats!
