Description

Posting this artwork to commemorate the New YorK Mets re-signing of first baseman Pete Alonso. This 8-page comic book was given away at the Mets game on August 12, 2021 (with a matching bobblehead given away the next day). I was able to purchase the original ink art to the entire book including the cover (which you can see in this same gallery). This is the blueline ink art by Wayne Faucher based on the pencil artwork of Scot Eaton.

Page 1 of this very silly story features Pete Alonso along with Michael Conforto (#30) and J.D. Davis (#28). Most of the faces were redrawn on a different board and replaced for publication. You can see the art updates marked with a 1 (for page 1) on the additional scan.
