Description

For every episode of the HBO TV series "Tales From The Crypt" (based on the EC horror/scifi/crime comics), a comic book cover was created for each episode of the 93 episode series. Artist Mike Vosburg drew each of the covers. This is from the Tales From The Crypt TV Episode #43 “Beauty Rest".

An aging model (Mimi Rogers) resorts to murdering her younger rivals (Kathy Ireland and Jennifer Rubin) in order to revive her own modeling career. She soon gets her big break as a contestant in a rather macabre "autopsy" beauty pageant.

Directed by Stephen Hopkins. Written by Donald Longtooth. Air date: July 11th, 1992. Source: Vault of Horror #35

The dark price of youth, beauty, and fame! It was true then as it is now. Vosburg pin up ladies are his specialty. Even under these macabre circumstances.

Vosburg did such a great job on these covers. Happy to have finally found the art for this episode.

Oh I remember these! Great piece and a perfect example of why film shouldn't be using AI images.
