Description

I love how beautifully haunting these images are. Love the creepy. This 2008 work is by acclaimed Pim & Francie artist Al Columbia.

Columbia started his career as an assistant to Bill Sienkiewicz in illustrating Alan Moore's ambitious but ill-fated Big Numbers series. The influence of Sienkiewicz and Dave McKean is strong in Columbia's work, though he later adopted a streamlined drawing style evocative of early animated cartoons, particularly the works of Fleischer Studios. Thus, Columbia has created an art style distinctive of his own and quite recognizable.
