Description

In owning the Original Pencils to this cover from the great Ron Lim, I have always look to secure the physical inks to go with the pencils, in order to have the complete pencil and ink set for a cover/page. When I learned that the inks were done digitally, I thought to myself, why not ask the original Digital inker to create a traditional inked version of the cover for my PC. Marvel Inker/Colorist Israel Silva has been the primary inker/colorist for all of Ron Lim's covers over the past 4-5 years. I reached out to Israel to see if he would be interested in traditionally inking a blue-line copy of Ron's Pencils, which he graciously agreed. As Israel had all the pencils scans from Ron, I did not have to take the time to create the blue lines myself. In the end, I am very happy to have some physical inks to go with Ron's Original Pencils. I can understand some hesitation in having this done, as you do not want commissioned inks to ever be passed off as published inks, which I hope by posting an explanation here on CAF will provide transparency. A big thank you to Israel Silva to help me have a complete pencil & ink set.
