DescriptionHere is a really lovely, and detailed drawing by Roy Krenkel. It is telling that Krenkel would draw on anything as this paper is not square. He was also never handicapped by which side to use as he drew on both sides of this piece.Social/Sharing |

This is beautiful! Looks like you need to look in that flat file more often.

Me too, Lance. This is very different from some other Krenkel drawings with exaggerated anatomy. I think the work of Norman Lindsay inspired him here. Very flowing. Sadly, the reason it is in the flat file and not framed is that there is no bottom margin to work with and if it was "floated" emphasize miscut the paper was.

This is lovely - the drapery, her posture, the gesturing, the motion. Terrific piece of artwork.
