DescriptionThe early 90s was a great time to be reading X-books! Chris Bachalo's cartoony and inky spin on the next generation of X-characters was a visual treat every month.This is from the Halloween issue where Nightmare comes to Emma Frost (White Queen) for some help! His goal -- to trick her into helping him find a way out of his nightmare realm. I had looked at this page for several iterations of sales on Comic Art Live and finally bit the bullet. I love the overbearing presence of Nightmare behind Emma and the look on her face of just not caring much. Very happy to have this in my collection and think this may have inspired me to re-read the series. Social/Sharing |

Beautiful Bachalo page, solid work by the inking team as well. Love it when an art pickup spurs a re-read of a story, enjoy!

At first, I thought those crosshatches were going to be Emma putting on some fishnet stockings. I guess my expectations turned into a Nightmare.

Nightmare has a Studio Ghibli look about him with the accentuated head and features which is a wonderful contrast to Emma's petite figure in the foreground.
