DescriptionIn 1994, and almost exactly one year after the Maximum Carnage storyline, Marvel promoted Acclaim's Maximum Carnage video game for the Super Nintendo/Sega Genesis by releasing a unique edition of Amazing Spider-Man #394. This special issue features a foil cover and a flip book in the back containing a short comic story, Maximum Carnage game advertisements, game tips from the writers of the strategy guide, and it also includes three pinups, one of which is a character profile of Carnage and his alter ego, Cletus Kasady, with commentary by Ashley Kafka detailing his past and present psychosis. This stunning art was created solely by Shawn McManus is one of the finest Carnage images of the early 90s. Shawn McManus’ work on this Carnage piece is absolutely striking! His unique style and attention to detail bring the chaotic energy of the character to life, making it one of the standout images from the mid '90s. Truly an iconic depiction of Carnage!

It's a clone saga book and a flip book with two covers, but both corner tabs said Carnage and this is probably the art that has the most resonance in the book.

"Inside: Carnage as you've never seen him!" and McManus said, "Indeed."
