Well it's all right, flying around in the breeze
Well it's all right, when the Giffen style would please
Well it's all right, threaten the President
Well it's all right, Mysa you lend a hand
You can sit around and wait for the Paul writing (End of the Line)
Waiting for someone to sell you Larry's inks (End of the Line)
Sit around and under cover heroes will bring (End of the Line)
Maybe a smuggler ring
Well it's all right, Legion if they say you're wrong
Well it's all right, sometimes you gotta be drawn
Well it's all right, As long as you got somewhere displayed
Well it's all right, every page is Judgment Day

The idea of a magic user being able to use only a few pre-chosen spells at one time probably came from Dungeons and Dragons. It is a helpful way to prevent ill-defined sorcery from being a cheat in any story.

I love how the smugglers thought they had an easy escape, but Sun Boy quickly shut that down by blasting their jet packs. The White Witch’s intervention adds another layer of excitement, with a display of excellent teamwork! Giffen and Mahlstedt do agreat job of keeping the action tight and impactful, making sure every panel carries weight and showing that Giffen was always a very strong storyteller. This is also evident by the fact that he often provided the storytelling breakdowns for other pencillers to work over, when he was primarily writing.
