Embittered inventor Stuart Clarke, resentful of Tony "Iron Man" Stark's success, transforms himself into Rampage, an evil twist on Iron Man. Industrialist Stuart Clarke finds out he will have to declare bankruptcy due to the recession, so he dons the powered exoskeleton he had developed and robs a bank.

This guy aims low. This invention would sell to the government, The military industrial complex, or foreign countries that would use it for evil purposes. And he wouldn't even have to put his own neck on the line. Doing a road test against Ice Man will only expose the weaknesses in his design.

The clash with Iceman is a quite a highlight, pitting Rampage’s desperation-fueled villainy against a young hero who, if I remember correctly, was still being portrayed by writers as still coming into his own. A great mix of classic Bronze Age drama and superhero action!
