Description

First pick up of 2025. Always loved George's war images in No Mans Land. The loose expressive line and sketch book like feel was always very appealing to me. I like how in this one he added depth with the figures in the background rendered in charcoal. Enjoy.

the style matches the energy of the subject material with a frenetic fog of war looseness but still super clear figure work up close. the charcoal effect for the bodies on the horizon is a nice touch as well as the guns in pure black/silhouette. fantastic Pratt war piece, congrats!

It's like the barbed wire grows like weeds with their thorns. Very emotionally dark as the column of faceless men move toward the front lines.
