DescriptionOne of my favorites covers.Two of my favorites characters teamed up for a one shot special. This cover was done by the creative team of Kitson and Pascoe who were on fire with their run in the ongoing Azrael series. Azrael Plus #1 (one shot) "The Anger the Terror and the Question" 1996 Written by Dennis O'Neil who reinvented The Question as a DC character (formerly a Charlton property) in the '80s and who also co-created Azrael in the Batman: Sword of Azrael series. From DC wiki: "A chance encounter results in Azrael and The Question joining forces against a fledgling terrorist group, who are led by a man struggling with father issues." Social/Sharing |

This is a cool cover to a series I never even knew existed. How was it?

Yeah this "series" ended up just being one issue and seems to have been forgotten by most. Sadly, the most memorable thing about it for me was the cover image.

If I recall correctly this was a themed month for DC? I think they did a bunch of "plus" issues which were team ups.
Anyway, awesome image of two of (also my) DC favorites. Kitson is an underrated artist.

How right you are. I seem to remember most of the team-ups being fairly forgettable. I just checked the DC database and apparently there were 14 unrelated one-shot "Plus" issues.

For a cover you claim to love so much you should treat it with a better high rez scan than this, come on bro! ;-p
Can't say I caught this release at any point either as this may be the first time I'm seeing it, but the cover image is pretty rad! congrats.

Ok bro... I finally removed the art from its frame and got a high res scan. Updated! I also added this listing to my CAF home page! 😛 Now to put it back up on the wall where it belongs!

It never fails to remind me how much I love this cover every time I get another look at it. I'm very happy to have been part of the lineage of its providence, but even more happy that it's in the right home! Congrats Brother!!!

Outstanding composition here and just a great image. The addition of The Question really makes for a unique cover. Love to see both of these Daryl favorites adorn the same one shot!

Beautiful art by Kitson drawing characters I have no clue about! But the layout is awesome, and the inks by Pascoe are great too!
