This painstakingly recreated cover by Ferran Delgado was done on a 11'x17' drawing board with Merino’s inks printed in blue. It was donated as part of a campaign to raise funds for the victims of the flooding at Valencia (Spain) at the end of the last year.

We’re doing something similar to the Hero Initiative projects, sending blank covers of the mag to Spaniard artists so they can make drawings and auction them.

Once all the campaign is over, we’ll publish a special compiling all the art.

Some of the artists making contributions are David Rubín, Juanjo RyP, Jesús Merino, Javier Rodríguez, Victor Santos, Vicente Cifuentes and many more.

Each week we’ll auction 5-6 pieces through eBay and 100% of the income will go directly to World Central Kitchen, which helped for months to the damaged area providing hot meals and basic products to people struggling. We'll make a transfer to the WCK at the end of the month and we'll post online the voucher since eBay Spain doesn't allow to add WCK directly in the auction.

Ferran Delgado is a professional letterer and graphic designer that worked for DC, Marvel, Image, Dark Horse, Oni Press and high profile indie projects. He was nominated to the Eisner Awards in 2019 as editor.

Esta meticulosa recreación de Ferran Delgado fue realizada sobre una hoja de dibujo tamaño A3 como parte de una campaña para recaudar fondos para las víctimas de las inundaciones producidas por la Dana de finales del año pasado en la zona de Valencia.

Estamos haciendo algo parecido a los proyectos de Hero Initiative en EEUU, enviando revistas con portadas en blanco para que autores españoles las ilustren y subastarlas.

Una vez que la campaña haya concluido, publicaremos un especial que las recopilará todas.

Algunos de los autores que participan son David Rubín, Juanjo RyP, Jesús Merino, Javier Rodríguez, Victor Santos, Vicente Cifuentes y muchos más.

Cada semana subastaremos 5-6 dibujos a través de eBay, y el 100% de lo recaudado irá a parar directamente a World Central Kitchen, la ONG que estuvo ayudando desde el primer momento proporcionando comida caliente y productos de primera necesidad a los damnificados. A final de mes colgaremos en la red el justificante de la transferencia porque eBay España no permite incluir la donación en la misma subasta.

Ferran Delgado es un rotulista y diseñador gráfico que ha trabajado para el mercado USA trabajando con editoriales como DC, Marvel, Dark Horse, Image, Oni Press, etc. Fue nominado a los premios Eisner en 2019 como editor, y estuvo trabajando durante 13 años para Forum y otros 13 años para Glénat España.
