DescriptionAs Randy Robertson is facing imminent death at the hands of Re-Po in the real world, Spidey and Rek-Rap prepare for their GREAT ESCAPE from the Limbo Land they were transported to when they were eaten and swallowed by Re-Po.Luckily time works differently in this world, so only 10 seconds have elapsed even though it's Day Two for Spidey & Rek-Rap. As they ready their catapult -- or 'Rek-Rap-a-pult'), Spidey takes a moment to admit that he should have listened to Rek-Rap's warnings about Re-Po. He calls Rek-Rap a "good crimefighter," which almost brings Rek-Rap to tears. Awww, look how his face kinda crumples in that third panel. Quickly switching emotional gears (as he does), Rek-Rap yells "Say "SPRANG!" ... and off they SPRANG through the ... well it's kinda like a Re-Po sphincter ... Their journey has begun! The seconds are ticking away back on Earth, and our intrepid adventurers have a long way to go! Will they make it in time?? Cue "On The Road Again" and ... Stay tuned! Social/Sharing |

I need to find some sort of Limbo for myself so I can get a good 8 hours of sleep while only a second goes by!

Okay, I just have to say that I know the top panel is great, but my favourite part of this page is that Rek-Rap is carrying his treats in a little cloth tied to a stick, like a good little hobo!

I totally agree! I was hoping someone would comment on that. It's also funny that he has packed another cloth bag on a stick for Spidey. Plus, you get this little exchange: Rek-Rap: "I packed us a bevy of delicious spider-snacks for the incredible journey ahead. You eat giant flies, right?" Spidey (arms folded): "I do not." Rek-Rap: "Yeah yeah, me neither. Yuck!" Hahahah! That slays me because 1) Rek-Rap thought Peter would like spider food even though he's human, and 2) Rek-Rap clearly likes giant flies but now won't admit it cuz it's not 'cool.'

Exactly, that little bit of dialogue between them isas good as the artistic content itself! They go hand in hand, which makes this one of those rare times when I find myself wishing that the word balloons were drawn on the boards.
