DescriptionThe pages I am posting tonight from this issue (pgs 7 & 8) are my favorites from the 3-issue story. Two sequences are going on at the same time, with wildly different moods for each. On Earth, mere seconds are passing as Re-Po approaches a terrified Randy with a switch blade, whereas in Limbo, days are going by as Spidey and Rek-Rap journey their way through Limbo (and Re-Po's innards) to get back in time to save Randy. I highly recommend taking a look at the published pages, cuz there's some really funny stuff goin' with Rek-Rap and Spidey ("We're in a tickle fight!" "They are trying to EAT US, Rek-Rap!" and an awkward call-back to the giant flies from page 6). The coolest thing about these two pages is that Ed intentionally constructed the images to look like the black and white keys of a piano, with the black key images showing the gripping suspense on Earth and the white key images showing the amusing antics in Limbo. As a guy who has been playing piano all his life (and even made a living at it), I was especially excited to get these pages. I thought about just doing one post of both pages in one image, but there's just too much stuff going on. But I did include an additional image of the two pages merged. Here's a link to the previous page: page 7 Social/Sharing |

I love how Rek-Rap is just having a grand ol' time here, like a 6 year old who just got given a new video game he's been wanting. The whole "meat" thing and being inside the body isstarting to be a turnoff though. The piano keys panel structure is cool, but given that there's nothing musical going on in the story, are we to understand that Ed did that as a wink and a nod to YOU, knowing you'd likely buy the pages?

I love that about Rek-Rap too. And I just think it's funny that the train agrees with Spidey on the previous page. Not sure if the piano key theme is a wink and a nod to me, but that would be very cool!

The pages belong as a dps! Rek-Rap hits all the biggest notes and the storytelling is in rythm!

That first long panel is just wacky fun with the little guys and the huge Rek-Rap smile :) Fun overall vertical panel layout, too. Congrats!
