Description

BRAND NEW ART FOR SALE.
I felt the urge to paint a tribute to one of my favourite 2000 AD artists: Mick McMahon. It was compositionally inspired by the classic cover of the 2000ad 1984 Annual (drawn by another of my heroes, Dave Gibbons). I swapped out some of the characters for ones more associated with Mick MacMahon: The Last American, Slaine and Ro-Jaws and Hammerstein (ABC warrior version).
It's drawn in acrylic and Rotring ink and hand-coloured with watercolour paints.
It's painted on thick hot-press watercolour board that measures 36 x 52 cm. The artwork, slightly larger than A3, measures 31.5x 44.5 cm.
