Description

A flashback to Orion's early days on New Genesis. On Semester Break from schooling, Orion went to visit his first childhood friend Akarl at his family's Agri-Center.

To his horror, Orion discovers everyone at the Center had been slaughtered, including his dear friend.

Orion Spots an insect patrol leaving the scene, and goes on a Blood Vendetta killing the entire patrol.

I realize there are probably tons of examples of this in comics or films, from Punisher to Wolverine to Anakin Skywalker, but this was my first exposure to a Blood Vendetta visually in Comics. This wasn't a Spinner Rack book or anything, but it was the first issue of the New Gods I ever got off the stands at the local shop of the day (Comic Zone in Fremont, CA). The visual left a lasting impression on me, so it felt like a meaningful and very personal acquisition.
