Ashitaka and Yakul encountering the Forest Spirit, from Princess Mononoke.

Matt did a stellar Nausica� commission illustration and Riso print a couple of months back, so when he posted he was open to doing one more commission like it to justify a personal expense, I didn't hesitate in reaching out. Gave free rein to tackle anything Miyazaki and he ended up going Princess Mononoke, the beautiful end result of which can be seen above.

Matt was a pleasure to work with. Done within less than a week of first contact with the artwork safely in hand on the other side of the globe just about a week after that.

Great illo! It's fantasy in its purest form celebrating nature itself with the fine pencil rendering for all the organic shapes and textures.
