DescriptionI tried to purchase the cover painting from a friend who told me I'd have to fight his wife for it.... so, being a lover - not a fighter, I appealed directly to the artist who judiciously agreed to let me purchase this amazing sketch! David Mattingly puts so much detail into these small work (4" x 8") that I can actually see the light from the volcano blast providing an underglow to the approaching dragon's body! Gotta love it!The onlything I love more about the actual cover image is the angst of the guy ripping his shirt* open while issuing a "rebel yell"!!! ( see additional image) *ok, so, it's some kind of kimono - but that sounds a bit less bad ass. Social/Sharing |

Both look cool! This one with Mt Fuji becoming a volcano is great with the demons coming out! Mattingly is careful to put the hand directly under the eruption to tie the wizard to it.
