DescriptionThis unused preliminary, drawn by Mike Zeck, was for page 8 of issue 3 in 1984's Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars. The first three panels were not used in the published version, but similar versions of the final two panels, showing Spider-Man right before, as Wolverine put it, made the X-Men look like amateurs, were used in panels 3 and 5 of the published comic.Thanks to CAF member Rick Verbanas for making this acquisition of my first-ever Zeck art possible during Comic Art Live. So distinctively Zeck! My nightmare issue as I was a big fan of the X-Men and my friends were Spidey fans who would always remind me how Spidey whipped the entire team!
