Description

"Scholars write history in books. Warriors write history in blood."

Ron Marz was another one of the names at this weekend's Dutch Comic Con in June 2025. The iconic writer for "Green Lantern", "Silver Surfer", "Scion", some Star Wars and so much more was one of the more memorable conversation. We spoke for a while - about his work, his oldest son and love for Michelin restaurants.

As most of the times, I also asked Ron to add to my list of writers who sketched something they wanted to. He drew this gorgeous setting, which I dubbed 'Land of the Rising Sun'. I'm sure his work on "Samurai: Heaven & Earth" had something to do with the inspiration.
