DescriptionCLICK HERE FOR AUCTION LISTING!Six 18.5x26" large thin art board pages that feature the full story parody of the 1969 motion picture True Grit, which starred John Wayne who won the Academy Award for best actor. Printed in MAD Magazine #133 March 1970 issue. The story spoof of "True Fat" was written by Larry Siegel w/original pencil and ink art by Mort Drucker (1929-2020) who was an American caricaturist and comics artist best known as a contributor for over five decades in MAD, where he specialized in satires on the leading feature films and television series. All text are paste-up stats. Also includes 14.25x22.5" MAD issue art board w/paste-up of two page spread w/title stat and stat of first two artboards reduced for printing. Lt. aging/handling wear. Some glue stains from registration marks at art margins. Some edge lifting of stats. Overall displays Exc. Social/Sharing |
