Description

After years of longing and haggling, this huge (about 20 x 28 inches) piece has moved from the collection of the estimable Monty Bali to mine. This appeared in the newsletter of the National Cartoonists Society, which probably explains why both Walt and Pan Am allowed Howland to engage in some uncharacteristic, if mild, cussin'.

Jes' about ever'body is here, including Basher the kangaroo from Oz and some Prehysteria fauna. Kelly only did a few of these large cast-of-hundreds cartoons, and I'm extremely glad to have one. Many thanks to Monty!

A parade of Kelly's best from one end to the other! It'd take a Pan Am flight just to travel from back to front!

Methinks that laugh was genuine. Lol. I am happy with the Pogos I have but collector mentality for more is never satisfied entirely is it? Now I just have to hope you adopt me and leave me everything. A unlikely scenario I admit.
