Description

Dave Pether created marvelous paintings for a Middle East promotional campaign for AMOXIL - an animal antibiotic used by horses produced by Beecham Pharmaceuticals (which later became GlaxoSmithKline) - commissioned though an advertising agency, "Champion and Holdway". The art is rendered in acrylic and oil on illustration board. image 17.75" x 12.5" on board 18" x 14.5" The painting carries a label on the reverse attesting to authenticity, signed by Pether's widow.

Bill: Ted, while I agree that, in time, our band will be most triumphant. The truth is, Wyld Stallyns will never be a super band until we have Dave Pether on paints.

Ted: Yes, Bill. But, I do not believe we will get Dave Pether until we have a triumphant ad campaign.
