DescriptionFellow collector Miki Annamanthadoo, knowing of my interest in George's art and the war genre, offered me his con sketch from George probably in 1999 or 2000.It's a great fit with the other Pratt Enemy Ace art and World War I pieces. George used what appears to be gouache and black marker to add texture, shadows, and depth to his colored pencils on the 11x17 toned (tan) mixed media paper. Social/Sharing |

Neat piece. He's grounded and looking out into the distance knowing there's not much he can do when not in the air. A quiet moment in the war while no less dangerous.

Very nice! With no Supergirl, Legion or Silver Surfer in the background, this wasn't long for Miki's collection!

Another cool Enemy Ace piece by Pratt for your collection with a different mix of style/mediums. And nice of Miki to reach into his vault/archives and offer it to a good home! congrats.

Thanks, Kavi! It was indeed very nice of Miki, but don't tell him... Great observation about having examples of Pratt's different mixes of style and media. I'm impressed by what I see as innovative, fearless talent. Watch what he does with a household putty knife and black paint. Freakin' amazing!
