Description

American 28"x48"hooked wool rug made by Alexander Smith and Sons Carpet Co., Inc. of New York. One of eight designs by Walt Disney artists, and made in a fine Axminister quality. I paid an elevated price to Christies Auction House for this near mint beauty previously owned by Maurice Sendak ... but i love it. I might mention that i have another one of this design ln my attic that is rarer as it is base white with no red and gold color. Wish i had Mel Birncrant's
point of sale signs.
