DescriptionOAX 2024 was a revelation for me.Oh my, oh Di Meo! Carl Choi kindly agreed to bring his complete issue of Batman and Robin to the show for me to see in person, and the man himself was in attendance with the Father of Dogs, Matt DiTullio . Di Meo then delivered an absolutely KILLER Winter Soldier piece to our boy Snorek. Simone's work in person is surreal. The love, labor, and aesthetic on display are incredible. I was fortunate to get a sketch from him at that show, but I knew I wanted more. Shortly after the show Matt opened up a commission list for Simone and I took the plunge. As events unfolded, I ended up arranging to pick up the piece at OAX 2025. I hadn't seen it yet when I picked it up, and Simone posted it to his instagram in the morning. As a result, I had two surprises waiting for me, because Marvel immediately bought the image to be a cover! Living the dream! A beautifully rendered image, worthy of The Devourer of Worlds, just in time to celebrate his first on-screen appearance! The timing couldn't be more perfect. Congrats on a wonderful commission/cover, it shines!

Immediate commission to cover graduation is testament to what an outstanding image it is, and quite possibly one of the best feelings in the OA universe. DiMeo is such a talent and the tonal work and use of lighting here is nothing short of stellar. Congrats on a jaw dropping cover quality commission that immediately got turned into a cover!

Whoaaa! Mindblowing portrayal of Gslactus from the always amazing Simone Di Meo. I thought Galactus looked huge in the new Fantastic Four movie but here he's about to grab the entire earth with his hand! Absolutely gorgeous art by Simone! Love the dark shadows and rich blavks that Di Meo uses here. Cool, too, that the primary source of light in the art is the Earth itself--Look at how the planet illuminates Galactus' hand and how the light spills over onto G's shoulder and head. This is definately my favorite Di Meo piece ever! Phenomenal pick-up, congrats!
