DescriptionHere on the 2nd page of Jesse’s backup story all chaos breaks out as the threat becomes quite clear, the giant troll like monster comes crashing through completely obliterating the meticulously laid out maze. Jesse is known for his brilliant panel layouts but another trait in his pages are beautifully organized chaos. When this story came out, I knew I really need to go after both pages one and two as they pair so wonderfully together and deserved to remain together. As a public service announcement, pages 3, 4 & 5 of this lovely short story are still available from Jesse’s reps The Artists Bullpen and they are currently running a 15% off sale on all of Jesse’s available work on the site! It’s a great time to add first , fifth or 20th Jesse piece to the collection! The Artist Bullpen For a look at me nerding out as I unboxed these two pages from Kaya: Carl’s Collection: Original Art Unboxing 44 Social/Sharing |

Well damn man. That maze I was so intrigued and excited by on Page 1 is completely fucked on Page 2. Sheeiiit.

The juxtaposition is just so impactful! Neat & orderly vs Destruction!

Damn, I was hoping you would've posted a single scan of these two side by side, as they pack a stronger punch that way. Either way, there's nothing new I can offer up that I didn't already tell you in my YouTube comment when you unveiled these beauties. Suffice it to say that they are a great looking pair of pages. I love nice lead in pages and the lead in to this splash is as good and possibly even better than the splash itself!

You know, I had thought about making this just one listing but I had a hard time having that crazy cool turn of the page completely removed from anyone who might stumble on these individual listings. I did however just add a side by side image of both pages to each individual listing. I agree, ultimately I agree that they just look amazing next to each other!

WOW - great that you have both pages. This one is a home run and really benefits from page 1 moment

Thanks Steve! Means a lot coming from a fellow fan and buyer of Jesse's work! Also, again, my customary tip of the cap in appreciation to you helping to set me on this path!

Love seeing him work a large creature into the page! The detail is still present which you have to love, but he also shows he can work a leviathan right in there. The fact that he drew him outside the panel is also a wonderful touch. Nice one!

Thanks Tyler! Yeah, I mean, its wonderful to see Jesse tackle a big splashy image while retaining the creative layout and design we love from him! Having the huge figure popping out of the panel really helps sell the weight and prescene. Always love studying a Jesse page!
