DescriptionSo after a page 1 splash that has the viewer asking a lot of questions about what the hell is going on (which I posted last night), the scene opens up with this epic DPS showing ... well ... what the hell is going on.That petrified guy on page one was Kevin (1st appearance!). Turns out he's a window washer who we now gather Spidey has webbed up and saved during an attack by a brand new villain Burnout (1st appearance!) Yes that's right. this issue features TWO 1st appearances so far! Kevin and Burnout are sure to rock the MCU in future movies. During the battle, Spidey's satchel spilled out everything inside of it. Those were the items flying about on page 1. Spidey is quite busy at the moment... Firstly, he is tasking Kev with gathering all the falling items from his satchel. Secondly, he is attempting to help Burnout rebrand himself with a catchier supervillain moniker, and thirdly, he is doing one of his patented introspective examinations of his life at the current time. Spoiler ... he's not happy about it. Just love this high-flyin,' web-slingin', Spidey-quippin' double page extravaganza! Thanks for looking, and stay tuned! Social/Sharing |

I remember opening this issue after the Wells run wrapped up and this DPS announcing that we were in a new era of Spidey- and it was gonna be fun! I really enjoyed this run. Excited to see what else you picked up from 8 Deaths!

Shit, that's what I was afraid you were going to say! Okay, I'm not saying "No", but please, I need time to think. Just give me some time and I promise I'll have a firm answer for you in a couple of days. But please don't get into any trade discussions with anyone else until you hear from me first!

This is a little tough, cuz in the last two minutes I have gotten 62,341 different offers for the piece (some involving real estate), but for you my friend, I will put them all on hold to give you that thinking time :-)

Whoa! almost ten times the amount of offers than there probalvy are collectors in the hobby? That's amazing! But, for the 1st appearance of Kevin, I'm not surprised! This is going to be my retirement, so, I leaning towards "YES", but let me think it over and I'll give you my reply soon. Thanks for giving me the opportunity!

You are very welcome. Oh, and perchance should a sports car be thrown in to sweeten the deal, my favorite color is red. Just sayin'...

So much hype and buzz around Kevin that all the fans of Burnout are feeling left out! :(
As it is indeed also his first appearance and he is a far more consequential character being a villain with a name that Spidey already feels needs rebranding...between Kevin and Burnout I think you've got both college tuition and retirement secured!

Such a fun DPS! McGuinness does such a great Spider-Man. I really liked Burnout's look and hope he pops up again, even as novice bad guy still figuring out how to do bad guy things.

Kevin might become the next Bob, Agent of Hydra! But wouldn't the prior page have been his first appearance? Or is that a birth page? 🤔
Rest of the scene is pretty cool too, I guess... If you're into that ridiculously awesome looking McGuinness DPS kind of thing.
I'll trade if that Ruben guy bails on you. I've got a classic 2006 Wrangler on the table. Not red but it only leaks when it rains.

Yeah there is some confusion about Kevin's 1st appearance page in this issue. That would indeed be page 1 ... not this pg 2-3 DPS as Ruben believes (I'll need to set him straight before he gives up the farm).
As I wrote in the description of this DPS: "That petrified guy on page one was Kevin (1st appearance!). Turns out he's a window washer who we now gather Spidey has webbed up and saved during an attack by a brand new villain Burnout (1st appearance!)"
As you suggested, you could say that pg 1 is Kevin's birth page, and pg 2 of this DPS is Kevin's 1st full apearance.
And pg 3 of this DPS is the 1st appearance of Burnout.
That's a lot of explanation ... but hey, I want no confusion moving forward ... especially when Kevin and Burnout get their own wildly successful series and even a leaky 2006 Wrangler won't be enough to bring me to the table.
