I once asked Jim Starlin (in the mid-nineties) @ SDCC "Whose decision was it to make Ernie Colon the penciller on this book? He is the wrong choice (for a cosmic melodrama)". He looked at me in surprise and said "Mine, I pulled him out of retirement to do this book." Needless to say, I greatly irritated him (putting it mildly). We have met a dozen plus times since. I doubt he remembers me, but he is never friendly nor nice, so maybe his subconscious does. What a dumb question. It had to be his decision. We live and we learn. Regardless, I was a big Dreadstar fan and a Starlin fan in regards to his stories and art. Here is HA's write up:

Jim Starlin Dreadstar #2 Cover Original Art (Malibu, 1994). The spectral presence of Vanth Dreadstar towers in mournful silence as Kalla Dreadstar kneels, framed by ruins on this cover from the 1994 soft reboot of Jim Starlin's Dreadstar Universe under Malibu's flagship Bravura imprint for creator-owned titles. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 8" x 12". In Excellent condition.
